Welcome to www.GlenRose.net   an information source for Glen Rose, Texas. Glen Rose is a picturesque little town of approximately 2,308 people on the banks of the Paluxy River. Glen Rose is located less than two hours to the southwest of Fort Worth, surrounded by hills, and is overall a wonderful little town.

There's about 2300 of us that live here and getting bigger every year...  Well we have some good things even if we don't have the luxuries of a big town. For example we have dinosaur footprints, big rocks you can let your kids go nuts on, a few rivers you can waddle through, good bass fishing, lots of wild animals, and some really friendly folks. To expand on this a little, let me mention some names that may sound a bit familiar: Fossil Rim Wildlife Park, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Paluxy and Brazos Rivers, Big Rock Park, Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, and Squaw Creek Lake. We have some bed & breakfast's for you romantics to hide away at, as well as some good home cooking (you have got to eat at Hammond's BBQ). We have camping for those that like to rough it, and you can even go canoeing or tubing down the rivers. Let's not forget the Bluegrass Festivals at Tres Rios RV Park and Oakdale Park. So take a weekend or a week and come down to our neck of the woods, put on your boots (or take them off), and enjoy our town.
